Institut de Soudure is the French Industrial Technical Center (CTI) for joining and associated testing. Created in 1905, it has a long history of innovation in transverse fields spanning from education, technical methodology, and technology. The ICWAM’2019 visit will focus on the three technological platforms equipped with cutting edge facilities located in Yutz:
- the Joining Platform (welding, FSW, wire-feed additive-manufacturing)
- the Mechanical Testing and Corrosion Laboratory
- the Non-Destructive Testing Platform (development of testing and monitoring methods suited to metal, composite or ceramic materials).
